Ingredients
Rice – 1 Cup
Tamarind Juice – 3/4th Cup
Peanuts – 1 Tbsp
Turmeric Powder – 1tsp
Mustard Seeds – 1/2tsp
Curry Leaves – Few
Salt and Oil – As Required

For Grinding
Chana Dhal – 1 Tbsp
Urad Dhal – 1 Tbsp
Coriander seeds – 1 Tbsp
Fenugreek – 1/2tsp
Sesame seeds – 1tsp (Optional)
Pepper – 1tsp
Whole Red Chili – 2 Numbers
Method
- Boil the rice with 2 cups of water.
- Dry roast the items given under grinding.
- Heat oil in a pan temper mustard, 1 tsp chana dhal, peanuts, curry leaves & Turmeric powder.
- Saute till peanuts gets golden brown then add tamarind juice cook till raw smell diasppears then add grinded powder, remove from heat when it forms thick gravy. Now add the boiled rice, mix well, check salt and serve.
