Ingredients
Chana dhal – 1 Cup
Urad dhal – 1 Cup
Whole Pepper – 1/2 Cup
Rice – 3/4 Cup
Red chills – 3 Numbers
Curry leaves – 10 Leaves(Optional)
Asafoetida (Hing) – 1/2tsp
Salt – (As Required)
Method

Heat pan in a medium heat.

Add Chana dhal toss for 3-4 minutes

Next add Urad dhal, Red Chillis fry for 2 minutes.

Finally add Rice, Pepper & salt, stir continuously till all turns golden brown.
- Remove from heat and add curry leaves and hing.
- Stir few more minutes.
- Coarsely grind this dry roasted ingredients and store it in a air tight container.
- Milagu podi goes well with Idli/Dosa/Rice.
Note:
Use any type of rice (I have used 1/2cup of boiled rice + 1/4 cup of idli rice).
